Today's sermon is a response to John 14: 1-14 and Christ talking to the dicisiples about their fear of losing Christ and their fear of thier own mortality. It also references an episode of CBC's Tapestry where Patricia Pearson talks to Mary Hynes about her latest book Opening Heaven's Door, where Pearson speaks with so many who have had near death experiences or experiences with a spiritual realm. Have you had such an experience? How does this meld with your faith? Blessings to you this day.(http://www.cbc.ca/tapestry/2014/05/09/what-the-dying-know/)

In today's Mother's Day sermon based John 10:1-10 the scripture reading asks us to examine the voice that guides to us safety and keeps us free from thieves. It's a mother's unconditional love that often protects us from so much in life while nurturing us so we grow big and strong. This is true for grizzly bears in Alaska as well for those in need of protection of corruption in the world of stock trading. How do mothers and their example make us better disciples. One stock trader from Richmond Hill may shed some light on that for us. (This episode of CBC's The Current was reference - http://www.cbc.ca/player/Radio/The+Current/ID/2449649595/)
