 Today's sermon is a reflection on 2 Corinthians 8:7–15, and Mark 5:21–43. In both readings Paul and Jesus lead us to renewing and enhancing our faith by modelling not only the importance of being earnest but also the showing the power of being earnest. Another earnest teacher is found in Malala Yousafzai.

 There's a storm swamping the boat Jesus and the disciples are in. And there is also a storm brewing within causing the disciples to panic for their lives. We've all experienced this inward storm that builds and builds and releases in moments, at people, we wish it didn't. Can Jesus make miracles happen within us and calm our inward storms as easily as he rebukes the storm that threatens their boat? Enjoy listening (Mark 4:35-41)
