How do you avoid jumping from one frying pan into another... wouldn't it be better to jump into something more saving? In Jim Collins' From Good To Great - he quotes CEO Darwin Smith who says, "If you have a cancer in your arm, you've got to have the guts to cut off your arm." Courageous boldness is a big part of this story. His example sheds much light on Jesus' bold words in Matthew 10:24–39 when he tells us we have loses our life for (his) sake will find it.

This Pentecost Sunday (Acts 2: 1-11) our churches are also taking an opportunity to celebrate Canada's 150+. The logo for Canada 150+ pays homage to the great diversity in our history. This is also the case wiht Pentecost... in both stories, the question of how to we unify in a time of division?
