Jesus called the disciples by saying 'I'll make you fish for people' but first they need to learn where to find the people... to do this they need to learn to see different... they'll need to see what Jesus sees. Someone else that has been teaching others to see different is Arielle Kayabaga, councillor for Ward 13 in London, ON. Recently she argued to keep many new services in libraries so that the poor and marginalized can access them. For doing this, she was nearly kicked out of the city's budget meeting. It didn't stop her from trying to get everyone to see things differently. This sermon is based on the texts for the Fourth Sunday after Epiphany (Feb. 2, 2020).
