While walking through the woods, I experienced something wash away that was I had thought was a part of me, but as soon as it was gone, I realized I was happy to be parted with it. With it gone, God's holy presence was easier felt. How can we/I remember to stay and that holy place and be without that which is unholy? How can we choose to live without sin? The answer, as pointed out in Brene Brown's Rising Strongly, requires as much bravery as the tax-collector who prays at the Temple. (Luke 18: 9-14)
