Sermon March 09, 2014 - Clarity Before Trial

3/10/2014

This sermon is based on the scripture for the Transfiguration - 2 Peter 1: 16-21 and Matthew 17: 1-9.  When Christ's full glory is shown to the disciples it feels good, but when they experience God in it, they're terrified.  Is this story true for you.  At times we experience some divine and/or heaven sent and when we don't have it pegged or named, we feel unworthy or even scared.  What if we learned to name it for what it is?  The presence of Christ, the living God for the disciples lives and for ours.  God's blessings to you!

Well, well, this would say us getting up early on Sunday morning. Thanks for doing this. We did miss coming to church last week. The elevators on the ship have floor mats which tell us the day. Only then did I click in. The 15th floor of the ship was a fair sized room with stain glass ceiling, benches and alcoves. One had to walk up that final flight. It was very peaceful and inspiring at the same time.
They held A.A. meetings there...I had almost forgotten the 12 step booklet. It holds many a great sermon....if you run out of inspiration.

Glad that you had such a good friend. I'm sure he's a bonus to any school he is in.

(I went into two classrooms in the Dominican with a Spanish speaking guide...revealing).

Keeping You and Jess in our prayerful meditations.
