Most of us likely pretended to be the heroes that we'd watch on TV or in the movies. I did. I'd pretend to fly, have great strength or have some sort of special ability. The disciples James and John seem to desire similar greatness. Jesus slows them down a bit and teaches that greatness is something else. That something else is within our grasp with his teaching and guidance. Please enjoy this sermon I like to call, Heroes of Faith. (Mark 10:35-45)
