Committee Duties
​
Worship/Christian Ed Committee
  • responsible for planning all worship services that take place in our church
  • responsible for historic roll, including the recording of the children and adherents
  • responsible for the use and condition of the worship space
  • responsible for the development of policies around baptism and marriage
  • responsible for the faith development of the elementary school age children in our church
         community
  • responsible for recruiting teachers and organizing the Sunday school curriculum and its general
         program
  • responsible for overseeing, in partnership with the minister, the curriculum and confirmation
         class and any adult course of study
Pastoral Care Committee
  • responsible for meeting the pastoral needs of the congregation; organizing of a visiting
         committee
  • keeps the telephone calling committee records up to date
Ministry and Personnel Committee
  • consults with and supports all paid accountable staff and volunteer ministries
  • makes recommendations to the Board, any changes in job descriptions, etc.
  • helps all staff set goals, and provides a timely performance review
  • acts as a resource in times of conflict
Heartbeat Committee
  • responsible for coordinating coffee time, meals, and receptions
  • responsible for church mission projects and learning events
  • responsible for implementing strategies to reach M&S goal
  • responsible for planning and implementing the annual financial drive and other drives
  • necessary to raise funds for the operation of our church
Property Committee
  • responsible for the maintenance of church property
Trustees
  • holds property in trust for use of congregation; develop and implement policies for admin of
         trust fund
